"Miss" UHS

Eyeliner, high heels, formal gowns, and some of Union high's finest young gentleman, all together, made for quite an evening at Union FBLA's "Miss" UHS Pageant. With ten contestants competing for the crown and title of Miss UHS the competition was extremely intense. The pageant was divided into three portions: talent, formal wear, and question.

The talent portion of the competition consisted of every thing from an "Our Song singing Delila" to a "Wild west roping Wilma", even a basket ball dunking Tantiana showed strutted her stuff. No one would have guessed the talent that these young men, I mean women, had and how willing they all were to show it up on stage.

The Next portion of the pageant was formal wear, which featured all of the pageant beauty's in their finest ball gowns. In this portions we learned everything about our contestants from there favorite song to their least favorite thing about being a woman, while they paraded around the stage.

Down to the three contestants we moved on to the question round with Delila (Dalton Tibbs), Kelsey (Kelson Bertrand), and Jillian (Jeremey Moore). All of the candidates did an excellent job at answering some of the toughest pageant questions. From, "What would you do with a million dollars?" to "If you had to give $50,000 to a charity which one would it be and why?" Some of the contestants even revealed how they would handle some pretty difficult social issues. The question, "How would you help to stop gang violence?" sparked the answer, "Shoot all the ganstas'," from Jillian.

That answer and Jillian's excellent performance throughout the talent and formal wear portion of the pageant earned her the crown and the title of "Miss" UHS.

Union FBLA would like to thank all of the contestants for their participation and everyone who attended the pageant. You are the core of Union FBLA and we cant thank you enough for all of your support.
